Women of Achievement Honored

on THE MARTHA SHOW

as Martha Stewart Gives Dreamer to Doer Awards,
and Hosts Poet Maya Angelou.

A Comment. . . . . . . . . . . . . . . I just viewed your show with Maya Angelou. I'd like to comment on the Dreamer to Doer element so elegantly displayed about you, Dr. Angelou, and the other women of achievement.

You mentioned you'd like women to submit their valued thoughts and poetic inclinations to you. I would love to see a forum developed for sharing of such word and thought. The spoken art is a craft, a lifestyle after all. It belongs included within your many mediums! It would also open doors for those of us who are artisans within that arena.

My life as a writer, studying with poet Cora Brooks and Boston Globe Arts Editor Robert Taylor, working aside families of Ernest Hemmingway, Dr.William A. McCall and wife Gretchen Schweitzer in Coral Gables, then friend of Virginia Woolf, author May Sarton, has left me stymied, up against this new society. . . . . . . . . . I stand stuck on the cement of every sidewalk -- with a text messenger around my neck that won't respond to any word greater than 'DUR.'

Additionally, with all due respect to many blogs, I find that to say more than 'Hi Ho' is too much talk and the moderator swiftly files you to the floor.

Is artful writing a dead business?

WORD ARTISTS

Those who treat the word as their dance are those who create the goosebumps, win the elections and become the Maya Angelous of society.

I would appreciate your effort to unshovel thoughtful writers, to allow the occasional connotative word a home, and to support that finely spun language be a guest of honor at every table.

Please create us a forum. It belongs with all of the other 'good things' upon your table.

first, let's reminisce . . .

You'll catch author Andrea Spencer doing this throughout her 'column in continuum'. Being decades along now, she has much retro to flashback at you.

'''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''

Just A Season Or Two Back, It Was Yak Yak Yak.

From Spencer's TMZ column . . . . Who remembers baby mouthed Donald Trump trumpeting during one high key TV season? His spitting up all over this woman, that woman was quite the rage. He's been easy to take for a time. Must be there's a pacifier in the house.

Rosie Rivets "Trumptee Dumptee"

COMMENTARY ------ By Andrea SpencerRemember . . . . Rosie was working her jaws to put Donald Trump on his rump while Miss USA dropped, stalled in feminine whimper.

The Donald waved his fairy tale wand over her future, granting her one more chance to be a good crown wearing girl. Remember . . . . .

The girl partied. The public rallied . . . . . . all over Trumptee Dumptee.

But nobody sat Donald down like ‘Andy Slandy’.

Andrea Spencer of Norton, Massachusetts, a writer and producer for the national media, addressed a hurt Martha Stewart way back when, as Mr. Trumpet held this dear woman in his mouth. Mean words Trump fed Stewart, as he pulled THE APPRENTICE, MARTHA STEWART from production after its first season, did not impress columnist Spencer.

********** ********** ********** **********

Hi Martha,

Donald Trump’s words, spewed all over you this week, christened his own low riding ship.

His salient mouth makes for a bad breath that pretty much fills him up from head to toe.

What he spit up today illustrates Donald, not you.

His growling jowls made him a fool for all of us with class. We who hear his noise, see a two legged walking stick in the crowd, who exhibits a need for enlightenment, Twelve Steps at a time.

Cud chewing Don may gather silly paper money from the fields, but honey, you’ve got the light that gives blossom to those fields.

Andrea

When asked about the grace bestowed upon Miss USA, which Martha saw none of, Spencer replied, “Gee, could we guess there’s a deal behind the deed with Missy? -- one that could not be bought with Ms.”
